As our upcoming summer vacations approach, I wanted to make sure to share with you all our stay at 21C Museum Hotel in Oklahoma City! We stayed there back in April and really enjoyed our quick, but awesome weekend!
Justin and I flew in the weekend of April 13th for one of my best friends weddings! We got in on a Thursday night and stayed with our friends through Saturday. Saturday afternoon we checked into 21C, which is located in downtown Oklahoma City. The newlyweds, Tasha and Dustin, were also staying there that night! Another couple was also staying, which was so cool! Hotel paaartayyyy! Just kidding. When we first checked in I was in awe of the lobby area! The hotel is so incredibly unique- I mean, it is a museum! Our room was a standard king and it was perfect! Loved the simplicity of the decor and random pops of color! It had everything we needed for our one night stay and our friends were just down the hall. Tasha and I went around and got some pictures for each other after settling in. She’s stayed a few times and knew the good spots! There are purple penguin statues all over the hotel, it’s their signature thing and I LOVE IT! I took a pic with one of them- you’ll see at the very end of this post!
That night we headed out to dinner with everyone which was in walking distance of the hotel. We ate + had drinks at The Jones Assembly. This place is SO neat! Totally loved the atmosphere and decor. The wait was pretty long, but we didn’t mind. Lots of good conversation and appetizers! I highly recommend checking this place out if you’re in the city! After dinner we went back to 21C to Mary Eddy’s Kitchen x Lounge -a BUNCH of people Tasha + Dustin knew from the wedding were around the bar area. We were there for a few hours and a few of us even walked around to check out the museum art. It was so nice to be able to carry around a cocktail in the museum area, pull our phones out for pictures, etc. It’s honestly such a cool atmosphere & concept.
We were in bed by midnight, which was marvelous! I was still feelin’ it from the night before (Tasha’s wedding)! Life of the party apparently, lol. Anyways! The next morning we relaxed for a bit before heading to breakfast. We both slept SO well! I made myself some coffee in the room, too! Breakfast reservations were downstairs at Mary Eddy’s with some of the gang. My food was delicious and the perfect portion! I also had a mimosa and Justin had a bloody mary. Hair of the dog, right?! Not only was the food delicious, the service was great! I let our server know we were in a rush and she accommodated that, no problem. It was the perfect last meal before we were off to the airport! It was sad saying bye to everyone, we had such a great weekend! I really wish we could’ve been at the hotel longer but we will DEFINITELY be back! There’s so much more to explore in the hotel and around the city.
Thank you SO much for having us, 21C OKC! We had a wonderful time!
