Bestie Staycation In Columbus
Bestie Staycation | Columbus
As most of you know, Justin, Bruti, and I spent over a month back home in Columbus, OH this summer. We did the same thing last summer, because of Justins work. While I was home my blogger bestie Nicole (Where Your Heart Is Now) and I planned a staycation in the city! We were together all the time while I was home, and this was our last little get together before I went back to Phoenix.

WHERE:
Located in the Short North Arts District by downtown Columbus. I love this part of Columbus! All of the trendy restaurants, bars, boutiques, etc. are located on High St, right by the hotel! When I lived in Columbus this is the area my girlfriends & I would go to.
ARRIVAL:
Nicole and I arrived to the hotel on a Thursday afternoon around 33o-4pm. We had her car valeted, we checked-in, and went up to our room to get the partayyyyy started! The whole check-in process was so smooth, which is always a plus! To our surprise, our room had an amazing view of High St and was SO spacious! We were also surprised with a bottle of champagne, such a sweet gesture from the hotel staff! 🙂 For the first 30 minutes we settled in, finished up some work and waited on our photographer, Kate, to arrive!
Once Kate was in da building, we shot individual outfits, sipped some champagne, and got some super fun shots of us both! The shoot we did was one of my favorites ever, we had a BLAST! Kate is SO incredibly talented and captured some raw, authentic moments for us! She’s also our friend, so shoots are pretty much hangout time, hehe! Once we wrapped up the shooting it was time to get changed for the night! The 3 of us headed down to the hotel bar, Soul, for some apps + drinks!
FOOD & DRINKS:
Located on the main floor of the hotel is, Soul at The Joseph! Soul is a trendy bar that offers yummy drinks, appetizers, and main course meals! They also have happy hour Mon-Fri 3-6pm! The girls and I enjoyed a few appetizers and drinks before heading to our dinner reservation. Both of our appetizers were SO good, and the service was great! We ordered the truffle fries and cheese curds! Also wanted to note that The Guild House (artisan eatery) is located directly next door to The Joseph and is a Columbus favorite!

THE REST OF OUR NIGHT…
After leaving Soul, the 3 of us headed to one of our Short North favs, Forno. Forno is sooo cute inside and has really delicious food and drinks! We had ALL the food, lol! Appetizers, pizza.. we definitely left with our bellies full! We decided to carry on our night and hit a few places for cocktails and music! This was the last time we were all going to see each other before I left, so we wanted to have the best girls night! We did just that, and I couldn’t love these babes more! After Kate headed home, and Nicole and I headed up to the room, we decided (okay, she talked me into it!) we really wanted dessert, so we ordered a few options from room service. The came up so quick, which was awesome because we were sleepy! We had girl talk, dessert in bed, it was so perfect! Nicole and I are so much alike and I just adore her! (People ask if we’re sisters all the time, lol!)
THE SPA:
We both had appointments at 9am for a massage! I mean… who doesn’t love waking up in the morning for a massage? AMAZING! We headed down to the lobby around 8:55am to check-in with the front desk for our appointments. Apparently they typically come grab you from your rooms, so this wasn’t necessary! The front desk called up to the spa and minutes later we were greeted by one of the massage therapists. We were taken up to individual side by side rooms on one of the floors of the hotel. I had no idea what to expect, but this was really cool! The room had a full sized couch, TV, massage bed, full bathroom with a huge tub, heated chair- basically everything a normal full-service spa would have! My massage was nothing short of amazing. I honestly was the most relaxed I’ve ever felt after a massage. I spent 30 minutes on the heated chair once the massage was finished and it was pure bliss. The view in the spa was amazing too, total relaxation. Click HERE to schedule an appointment!
We had a great time on our bestie staycation! It was the perfect ending to my summer in Columbus and I already miss Nicole SO much! If you’re thinking about staying at The Joseph, I’d be happy to answer any questions you might have! This was my second time staying there and I’ve enjoyed it both times! I also saved some of my stories from our staycation under my “OHIO” highlights! Thanks for reading! xx
